Hi, I’m Amy

my birth stories have completely changed my life…

Midwifery care changed my life. The birth of my child in 2017 was profound and life altering. My family, midwife, and care team supported me in a way that I felt empowered to birth on my terms. Bringing my child into this world was so powerful and this transformation shifted my story. Almost immediately after birth, I felt so drawn to the world of birth work and knew in my heart that this is where I was meant to be and soon after stepped into the birth space. In 2022, when my baby was born sleeping I was once again held up by an amazing support system. The way we surround and hold up people as they transition through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum impacts the rest of their (and their children’s) lives. These monumental experiences shaped my parenthood journey and that’s the kind of love I hope to share with the community. I believe that the best way to make positive change in our birth community is to help parents feel informed, capable, and held in their journey.

how does birth photography work?

The first step is reaching out and seeing if we would be a great fit…

A contract and retainer book your due date on my calendar. I only take a couple births a month so that I am available to you completely.

I go on call for you at 38 weeks. This means I am ready to leave to be with you at a moments notice. Whether its 2am or middle of the day, I’m on call 24/7!

I stay with you the whole time. Whether that’s a 6 hour labor or 24+ hour birth! and I have back ups who are amazing and able to step in after 24 hours if needed. Once baby arrives I stay with you for 2 hours after to capture all those perfect firsts!

You can expect a few sneak peek images within the first 48 hours after birth to use for announcing and a full gallery of 100+ images in your email within 6 weeks after your birthing day.

When I ended up with preeclampsia, she arrived promptly and provided knowledgeable support. what it means to be your doula…

Being a doula means helping to create a nurturing and supportive environment to help meet your needs before, during, and after the birth of your baby(ies). A doula’s job is to hold space, and to prioritize the well being and wishes of the birthing person. My hope is to provide mindful, respectful, responsive birth support. During your pregnancy, we have prenatal meetings in order to discuss your preferences, plans, and intentions for birth. This way we can plan about how to best meet your physical and emotional needs- so that you can feel empowered about making informed choices about your body, baby, and birth.
